The problem
Everyone says you need AI. Nobody shows you where to start. Your team is buried in admin, re-typing data, chasing emails and rewriting the same quotes. We cut through the hype, find the few AI wins with a real return, build them end to end, and make sure your people actually use them.
What we do
Five ways we put AI to work for you
Start with strategy, jump straight to a build, or upskill your team. Every engagement is scoped and quoted to fit your business.
AI agents that do the busywork, around the clock
Inbox triage, quoting, follow-ups, data entry and reporting, connected to the tools you already use.
A roadmap ranked by return
Know what to build first and what to ignore.
Copilots & SaaS on your own data
Bespoke tools, portals and AI products.
Your whole team, AI-confident

“Most businesses don’t need an AI moonshot. They need three or four well-built automations that give their team back a day a week. That’s what we deliver.”

Why Down Under Digital
Enterprise AI experience, small-business pace
- Real AI expertise. Led by an AI product manager who implements AI for major organisations across APAC, after 10 years leading digital and AI projects at EY and building SaaS for small businesses. We’re not a marketing agency that added “AI” to its menu.
- Independent. We recommend what works for you, not what pays us a commission.
- Results you can measure. Every project has a clear success metric, such as hours saved, response times or revenue.
- Local and accountable. Sydney-based, on your time zone, and easy to reach.
Who we help
Built for busy Australian & NZ businesses
What does an AI agency actually do?
Down Under Digital finds where AI can save your business time or money, then builds and rolls out the solution. In practice that means five things: AI strategy and audits, AI automation and agents, custom AI software, AI training for teams, and AI-powered websites and SEO. Every project has a measurable goal, such as hours saved per week or faster response times.
Is my business too small for AI?
No. Businesses with 5 to 200 staff are our focus. A single automation, such as answering web enquiries, drafting quotes or entering invoices, can give a small team back several hours every week, and most quick wins use tools you already pay for, like Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
How much does AI cost for a small business?
Every project gets a fixed-price quote after a free 30-minute strategy call, so there are no open-ended hourly bills. Most clients start with one of three small, fixed-scope options: a 2–4 week AI audit, a half-day team workshop, or a single quick-win automation delivered in 2–3 weeks. If you go on to a build after an audit, the audit fee is credited against it.
How long until we see results?
A first automation is usually live within 2–3 weeks, and we measure its impact from day one. An AI audit takes 2–4 weeks, a team workshop is a single half-day session, and custom software MVPs typically take 6–16 weeks.
Which AI tools and models do you use?
We are vendor-independent and take no commissions. We build with models from OpenAI (ChatGPT), Anthropic (Claude) and Google (Gemini), plus open-source models that can run privately, and connect them using n8n, Make, Zapier or custom code to tools like HubSpot, Xero, MYOB, ServiceM8, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
Will AI replace my staff?
That is not our goal. We automate repetitive admin, like data entry, triaging emails and first drafts, so your people spend more time on customers and skilled work. Workflows keep a human approval step wherever a mistake would matter.
Do you work outside Sydney?
Yes. We are based in Sydney and work with businesses across Australia and New Zealand, online or onsite. Workshops can be run at your office or live online.
Is our data safe with AI?
Yes. We use business and enterprise tiers of AI services that do not use your data to train their models, limit access to only what each workflow needs, and can host solutions in Australian data centres. Everything we build follows the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
Not sure where AI fits in your business?
In 30 minutes we’ll look at how your business runs and point out two or three places AI could save you time or money. No cost, no obligation, no jargon.
