Privacy policy

Last updated: 1 November 2026

Down Under Digital (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy and handles personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), including the Australian Privacy Principles, and the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 where it applies.

What we collect

We collect the information you give us when you contact us, book a call or become a client, such as your name, email, phone number, company details and the content of your message. We may also collect website usage data, as described below.

Website analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website, for example which pages are viewed, how visitors found us, and when the contact form is submitted or a booking link is clicked. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device and browser type. It does not tell us who you are. You can opt out using Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.

How we use it

We use your information to respond to enquiries, provide and improve our services, send information you have asked for, and meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers to run our business, for example website hosting and form handling (Netlify), scheduling and website analytics (Google) and email. These providers may store data outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to make sure they protect it.

Client data and AI

When we work with client data on projects, we use business-grade AI services that do not use your data to train their models, limit access to what the project needs, and follow any additional data-handling terms agreed in our contract with you.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to access or correct your personal information, or make a privacy complaint, by emailing enquiries@downunder-digital.com. We’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) or, in New Zealand, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).
